Mentoring Program

The mentoring program pairs doctoral students with mentors in their area of studies.

A key function of the mentor is to assure that fellows move as closely as possible to selecting a dissertation topic during the first year.

The function and role of mentors will be specified in detail on a contractual basis with the fellowship recipient, the academic institution, and the HTI.

Mentors and mentees will receive training and orientation during the Mentoring Training, which is part of the Sumer Workshop, on the meaning and expectations of mentoring. Persons who specialize in this particular facet of education will be brought to the Summer Workshop specifically for this purpose.
